As one of the most prominent examples of the successful partnership between the Government and the Private Sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Durrat Al Bahrain Company was established in 2003 between the Government of Bahrain, represented by Mumtalakat Holding Company, and Kuwait Finance House (Bahrain) which is one of the most prominent leading Islamic banks in the Kingdom. The company handed over its first housing units in 2009 as a model integrated city, becoming the first project in the southern region of the Kingdom, which was crystallized following the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, to develop the southern region.
